We reviewed IDAutomation barcode software in our review for small business barcode label software and it placed number one in that category. Nonetheless, although it has excellent basic label design tools it does not offer the advanced tools needed for professional versions. The only differences between the pro version and the standard are the addition of 2D codes, further database connectivity and VB scripting capabilities.

This program has a good label designer but does not include sophisticated features like date stamping, label locking, serialization or compliance templates. In addition, IDAutomation only provides free support for 30 days after purchase. We feel this program is much more suitable for small scale operations and needs to improve a bit to compete in the professional version arena.
